Mount Noddy Animal Centre ran a highly successful Companion Dog Show on Sunday 27th April 2008.
The Field of Dreams, adjacent to the Animal Centre, was the venue for the Dog Show. With full Pedigree and Novelty Classes, along with four levels of Obedience Classes underway, this Show truly had something for everyone.
With over 750 entries in 22 classes, Mount Noddy celebrated the spirit of the "Rescue Dog" with two novelty classes for rescued animals hotly contested by 52 entries. The winner of the Jed O'Dell Memorial Trophy for Best Mount Noddy Rescue was Honey, a Golden Retriever owned by Marion Palmer and the winner of the Best Rescue (not Mount Noddy) was Kissy, a Rottweiller handled by Ann Watson.
Other notable winners during a day of sunshine and showers (mostly showers!) were Buster, a Bull Mastiff as Most Handsome Dog, Scamp, a Lurcher, as Best Crossbreed, Best Puppy in Show was Pippet a Border Terrier and Best in Show was Buzby, a Border Terrier shown by Alan Small.
Judging was carried out by Joe Welch and Rick Restorick, both well recognised Judges in the Dog Show World.
