All of the animals require veterinary treatment before being rehomed. Adult dogs and cats are neutered and vouchers are issued for neutering puppies and kittens.

		Veterinary costs amount to around £35,000 annually. All dogs and cats are also micro-chipped before leaving the Centre.
No animal is put to sleep unless the Vets feel they are too ill to recover or, very occasionally, when an animal has a serious behavioural problem which prevents it from being rehomed.

Please telephone 0300 1234 999 the RSPCA National Call Centre who, in turn, will contact an RSPCA Inspector.

If you have reason to bring an animal to the Centre. make sure you hand it over to an authorised person. PLEASE RING FIRST to be certain that we have space available.

Stray Dogs:
Environmental Protection Act 1990

A dog may be treated as a stray if it is roaming freely and not under control of any person, irrespective of whether it has a home.

The "Finder" of a stray dog must take the dog to the Local Authority for the area in which the dog was found.

Please ring your Local Authority first by telephone as there may be an authorised drop off Centre to take the stray dog.

The dog must not be given away to any other person (other than the owner)
