To conform to legislation as well as RSPCA policy, there is a constant programme of upgrading required, all of which produces a huge annual financial burden.

As a separate charity, the Centre needs to raise considerable funds to remain viable, and pay our staff salaries.
We therefore appeal to you to assist us with this Centre as without it many domestic animals and wildlife would suffer.

In 2003, Mount Noddy had seen the most dramatic change of all. We now have a brand new cattery and additional runs for the existing cattery, a Treatment, Isolation and Convalescence building, a new rabbit enclosure, and a much needed storage area.

The planning of this new development started way back in February 2000 when we approached the architects with our ideas. It took another year of discussions and fundraising to finally agree on all the details that this massive project entailed.

Progression was painfully slow, with various setbacks experienced and alterations needed, however work finally started in November 2002 and the Centre has been brought into the 21st century.

It would have been impossible to achieve all of this without the generosity of our supporters - the Friends of Mount Noddy, the fundraisers, and through donations and legacies. On behalf of the animals, we would like to say a big THANK-YOU!

Kennel Rebuilding In 2000 the old kennel block was rebuilt in order to provide better conditions and comfort for dogs brought into the Centre prior to rehoming, or as a result of
cruelty. This new building has increased from 4 to a 10 kennel area.

Memorial Garden This was completed in 1999, adjoining the cattery blocks, a place of peace where people can remember their beloved pets, dedicate a memorial plaque, and scatter their pet’s ashes if desired.
The Field of Dreams In 1997 a 3.5 acre field was purchased adjoining the Centre, which is used to exercise the dogs, house the goats and pig, as well as being used for fund-raising events.
